The DVRPC Board continues to engage in conversations with PennDOT related to the current transit funding crisis. This follows from ongoing discussions related to transportation funding shortfalls.
On September 27, 2024, the DVRPC Board members from southeastern PA submitted a letter to the Pennsylvania House Transportation Committee. It highlights the critical need for sufficient funding into our transit systems, outlines the potential outcomes of SEPTA’s operating budget crisis if not addressed, and emphasizes the need for greater funding towards our transportation infrastructure generally across the region.
