Get to know Freight Program Manager Kristen Scudder.
What did you want to be growing up?
As a kid, I really wanted to be a marine biologist or architect.
What was your first job?
My first job was in the summer working at a local garden center. I still love plants and have many that sit on my desk in the office and at home!
What did you study in college?
Civil/Architectural Engineering
What actor would play you in the movie version of your life?
I have been told that Ellie Kemper is my celebrity look alike.
What is your favorite leisure activity?
Camping. Nothing relaxes me more than disconnecting from the busyness of life than being outside and turning off my phone for the weekend.
What is your recent obsession?
Cooking and baking. I’ve been trying to experiment with 3-4 new recipes every week!
What is the last book you read?
I’m currently reading Being Mortal by Atul Gawade, which has such an interesting perspective on how we view aging, the medical system, and geriatric care in our culture.
What are the top 3 places you want to travel to?
When my family travels, we like to plan our itineraries around food and restaurants that we want to try. The next places on our dream trips list would be Tokyo, Southern France, and Goa.
Are you a cat or dog person?
I’ve always been more of a dog person, but I love all animals! I don’t have any pets now but love petsitting for friends and neighbors.
